Computational Biologist Mihai Pop has just been named a Fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), an elite recognition of outstanding science and scholarship that is bestowed upon less than one percent of the organization’s 100,000-plus members. In awarding him, the AMC recognizes Pop's contributions to computational biology, algorithms, and software for DNA sequence analysis and sequence assembly.
