Applied Statistics Data Anlaysis Project

Overview

The Data Analysis Project (AMSC 762) is designed to test the students' skills in the following 3 aspects:

  • Formulating and justifying the appropriate model for the data;
  • Choosing the proper algorithms to analyze the data based on the selected model;
  • Producing a well-written report which contains both analysis result and theoretical/empirical support.

Course Description

AMSC 762: Data Analysis Project (1 credit)

  • The course cannot be used to meet any of the Applied Statistics Area's seminar requirements. This yearly course will be required of and limited to MS non-thesis and doctoral students in the Applied Statistics Concentration.
