AMSC Faculty Doron Levy Elected as Class of 2024's Fellow of the American Mathematical Society

Dr. Doron Levy has achieved the distinguished honor of being elected as a Fellow of the  American Mathematical Society for the class of 2023. This recognition is bestowed upon individuals who have demonstrated exceptional contributions to the "creation, exposition, advancement, communication, and utilization of mathematics." The designation of Fellow also underscores a commitment to assuming leadership roles, fostering community recognition, and enhancing the competitiveness of mathematicians across various disciplines.

Dr. Levy's acknowledgment as a Fellow is specifically attributed to his noteworthy contributions to Mathematical Oncology and Mathematical Biology. At the University of Maryland, he holds several significant roles, including Professor, Math Department Chair, Director of the Brin Mathematics Research Center, and Co-Director of NCI-UMD Partnership for Integrative Cancer Research. His research is dedicated to utilizing mathematical approaches in the biomedical field, with a focus on cancer, immunology, and cell motility.
